Ingenious! Taiwanese scientists have discovered a way to use trees to emit light- thus eliminating the need for street lights; reducing carbon emissions while using a natural resource to light our public spaces. The very resource that absorbs carbon dioxide! Brilliant! By implanting gold nanoparticles, they were able to cause the trees to glow red. How cool would this be?? Check out the full article here.
