Ruth Penders: Me in a nutshell: short and sweet. Physically short and sweet. Mentally short and sweet. You know those people who talk just to hear themselves talk? The intensity of love and motherhood from the experience of having and raising a child is one I will treasure and could never have expected. Kind of like the holy trinity: I'm a mom and a woman individually and together. If that makes any sense.------------ Childbirth is a metaphor for the birth of a new woman and for some it's a transformation into the complex creature that not only raises a child but takes care of herself: she's driven personally & professionally, creative, fashionable, powerful, compassionate, with it! It's a lot of fuck'n work to be a good mom and it's even more work to be there for yourself. So props to us and let's keep it goin' strong!
